I have without compromise chosen to play some of my favourite pieces on guitar. The program spans from renaissance over classical music till contemporary flamenco. This different styles reflect indeed my love and approach to the guitar. For me one of the most unique things about the guitar is the versatility of its expression and styles.
As a center pillar in my music I have always had Bach by my side. His music has always played an important role as a way of meditation both in the performance as well in the working progress of the music.
The Spanish music has always attracted me with its close connection to the folkloric music. With my fascination of the Flamenco music i have chose 5 Spanish pieces from the renaissance till contemporary, classical and flamenco!
For me music must tell stories and one of my favourites is told in Leo Brouwers “El Decameron Negro” and intense pieces that let the inner images flow and equal dreaming away in Roland Dyens “Songe Capricorne"!
